Equipment

  • Blender
  • Jigger or measuring cups
  • Mixing glass
  • Cocktail shaker
  • Serving glasses

Ingredients

For the Margarita

  • 2 ripe mangos, peeled and diced
  • 4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 4 oz tequila
  • 2 oz orange liqueur (like triple sec)
  • 2 oz simple syrup (adjust for sweetness)
  • Ice cubes

For Serving

  • Lime wedges
  • Coarse sea salt or Tajín seasoning (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Ingredients

  • Start by washing and peeling the mangoes, then dice them into small pieces.

Blend the Mango

  • In a blender, combine the diced mango, fresh lime juice, tequila, orange liqueur, and simple syrup. Blend until smooth.

Adjust Sweetness

  • Taste the mixture and see if it needs extra sweetness. If it’s a bit tart, add more simple syrup until you reach the perfect balance.

Chill the Glasses

  • While blending, chill your serving glasses in the freezer or by filling them with ice water.

Ice It Up

  • If you prefer your margaritas frozen, add ice cubes to the blender and blend until slushy. For on-the-rocks, pour the blended mix over freshly filled ice in your chilled glasses.

Garnish and Serve

  • Optional: Rub a lime wedge around the rim of each glass and dip it in coarse salt or Tajín for a flavor kick. Pour your mango margarita into the prepared glasses, add a lime wedge for garnish, and enjoy!

- Freeze mango chunks ahead of time for a frosty margarita.
- Adjust the lime juice to your taste; some prefer it tangier than others.
- Consider using flavored tequila for an exciting twist.
- Always taste before serving; you can adjust any ingredient to your preference.
