  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice 240 ml
  • 4 cups cold water 960 ml
  • Ice cubes

Create the Cherry Base

  • In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the pitted cherries, sugar, and water. Stir until the mixture comes to a gentle simmer.

Simmer and Mash

  • Allow it to simmer for about 10 minutes, until the cherries are soft and the liquid has thickened slightly. Using a masher or fork, gently mash the cherries to release even more juice.

Strain the Mixture

  • If you prefer a smoother cherry base, use a strainer to separate the pulp from the liquid. Set the cherry syrup aside to cool.

Combine with Lime Juice

  • In a large mixing pitcher, combine the cooled cherry syrup and freshly squeezed lime juice. Mix well.

Add Cold Water

  • Pour in the cold water, stirring to combine. Taste and adjust sweetness, adding more sugar if desired.

Serve Over Ice

  • Fill glasses with ice cubes, pour the cherry limeade over, and garnish with lime slices and whole cherries.
