Ingredients
  

For the Peach Filling:

  • 6 cups fresh peaches peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch

For the Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup milk
  • cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

Step 1: Prepare the Peaches

  • Combine peaches, sugars, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch in a bowl. Stir gently to coat.

Step 2: Preheat and Prepare the Dish

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Step 3: Make the Batter

  • In a separate bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add milk, melted butter, and vanilla; mix until just combined.

Step 4: Assemble the Cobbler

  • Pour peach mixture into the dish. Spoon batter over the top—spread gently but do not mix.

Step 5: Bake

  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed warm with vanilla ice cream.
To use frozen or canned peaches, adjust sugar and drain well.
