Equipment

  • Bowl for mashing
  • Fork for mashing
  • Knife for chopping
  • Cutting board

Ingredients

For the Guacamole

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 ripe mango diced into small cubes
  • 1 fresh jalapeño diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 1 clove fresh garlic, minced
  • Sea salt to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients

  • Start by slicing the avocados in half and removing the pits. Scoop the flesh into a bowl using a spoon. Dice the mango and jalapeño, ensuring both are bite-sized for easy mixing.

Step 2: Mash the Avocado

  • Using a fork, gently mash the avocado in the bowl. You want a creamy consistency with some chunky bits for texture.
  • Tip: Go easy on the mashing at first; you can always mash more if you prefer a smoother guacamole.

Step 3: Add in Mango and Spices

  • Fold in the diced mango and jalapeño to the mashed avocado. Sprinkle in the chili flakes, cayenne pepper, ground cumin, smoked paprika, black pepper, and garlic.

Step 4: Season and Mix Thoroughly

  • Taste and season with sea salt, adjusting according to your preference. Mix everything together until well combined.

Step 5: Serve and Enjoy

  • Transfer your Mango Guacamole to a serving bowl. Pair it with tortilla chips, fresh veggies, or use it as a topping for tacos.

Notes

Pro tips:
  • Opt for a perfectly ripe avocado for the best creaminess.
  • If you're not a fan of too much heat, reduce the amount of fresh jalapeño and cayenne pepper.
  • Serve your guacamole immediately to maintain its vibrant color; if you need to prepare it ahead, store it covered with plastic wrap pressed against the surface to minimize oxidation.
