For the Lassi
- 2 ripe mangoes peeled and diced
- 2 cups plain yogurt 500 g
- 1 cup milk or almond milk 240 ml, for a dairy-free option
- 2-4 tablespoons sugar or honey to taste
- ½ teaspoon ground cardamom
- Ice cubes optional
Prepare the Mangoes
Start by selecting ripe mangoes; the flesh should give slightly when pressed. Peel and dice them, then add them to your blender.
Tip: The best mangoes for lassi are the sweet varieties like Haden or Alphonso.
Blend the Ingredients
Add the yogurt, milk, sugar or honey, and ground cardamom to the blender with the mangoes. Blend on high until smooth and creamy.
Tip: Adjust the sweetness by tasting, adding more sugar if necessary.
Serve Chilled
Pour the Mango Lassi into serving glasses over ice cubes if you prefer it extra cold. Garnish with a sprinkle of cardamom or a wedge of mango on the rim.
Tip: Serve within a few minutes of blending for the freshest taste.
